The OM '08 themes, like crowd favorites Sonoma and Palo Alto, take their inspiration from the printed page. Designed with an eye toward simplicity, the overall OM style is light & soothing - creating a defined structure around the interplay of color, accent and negative space. Crisp contrasts of the signature colors - including the all new electric Robin's Egg Blue of OhM '08 - break components of each layout into its principal parts. What's New.

The OM themes have been completely overhauled for the transition to Keynote '08, producing a whole new generation of the OM themes that are even easier to use and customize than the original release, all at a fraction of the file-sizes of the original. Now built entirely with native shape objects and image placeholders, you can change the stark white background to a color, gradient or photo with a simple change on the Appearance Inspector - even change the colored panels and accents on the master slides to better match your corporate palette, or create your own layout variations thanks to the ease of the new shape object approach. The OM Master Slide pool has also expanded even further - up to 58 Master Slides in the Pro/HD version - including more variations on your favorite layouts from the OM 2 release, and a range of new layout options designed to make the theme even more flexible in the new Keynote '08 architecture.

But we didn't stop there. We took on your two most frequently requested custom modifications - another evocative multi-seasonal palette and the clean, stalwart simplicity of Helvetica - and added a whole new branch to the OM family: OhM '08. OhM '08 (OM Helvetica) expands on the approach of the core OM themes with an eye-catching, electric Robin's Egg Blue palette and the unflappable adaptability of Helvetica Neue, providing a stylish contrast against the eclectic original.  

The Slides

The OM '08 Themes include up to 58 Master Slides (HD Version) - a diverse mix of photo-oriented and alternate text layouts, from the subtle color-contrast driven text slides to the attention-grabbing, photo-driven Mosaic layouts and highly functional multi-column and multi-row slides that make comparison or directory slides a snap. Reverse Type layouts of the two primary Text-type slides to make it easy for you to blend your narrative against full-color spreads. The accompanying chart fills - updated from previous editions toward a more subtle, modern spectrum - extend the sophisticated feel to your data with a professional flair that translates well from screen to print.

The Big Picture: OM '08 HD.

OM '08 HD, available exclusively in the new OM '08 Pro Edition, expands the style into HD format with aspect-optimized widescreen versions of the OM '08 design, so you can take advantage of the clean simplicity of the new iMac, a MacPro-driven 20, 23 or 30" Cinema Display, or a next-generation HD projection system as target presentation platforms without the "dead space" associated with running traditional 4:3 presentations on an HD display. Even run full screen on your new MacBook Pro to take full advantage of every inch of the remarkable display. Your presentation will look like it was custom-tailored for your machine.

Take it on the Run

Can't imagine leaving your favorite portable device out of your work-flow? The OM '08 themes are fully compatible with Keynote for iOS(*version 1.7 or higher), so you can transfer your presentation using either OM theme to your iPad or iPhone for playback or editing with no updates or special workarounds required. And the OM '08 themes are also iOS Quick-Launch enabled,so you can launch a new presentation directly onto your mobile device from your KeynotePro Account to author presentations on the go (internet connection required). Keynote for iPad is a beautiful way to engage your audience in a tactile way, and the OM style remains just as stunning at arm's length as it is projected on the big screen.

Supplemental Material

The new Supplemental Materials file includes the updated OM '08 and OhM '08 color palettes, style references for using accent text colors and shapes, along with slides detailing customization on a per-slide basis or working on master slides to customize the entire theme - all the way down to custom bullets. For power users looking to push it even farther, we've also detailed a lattice technique that can be used to build complex, layered multi-image mosaic layouts without giving up the ease of use that the new photo placeholder objects add. The Supplemental Objects are installed in your theme directory, ready to reference whenever you need to add a personal touch to the layouts.
