Make the connections with KeyStation 2 for Keynote - a presenter / kiosk-mode hybrid theme designed to make building compelling interactive presentations and Keynote-driven kiosks a snap.

The KeyStation 2 themes were designed from the ground up to be a truly flexible platform for both traditional projector-driven presentations and Interactive/ Kiosk-mode presentation. Using the next generation of our "Platform-style" technique (named for the original Keynote chameleon), every level of the interface is rapidly customizable with a simple background color change or via Keynote-native shape objects and fills pushed behind the platform.
Designed with an eye toward the Web and Interactive media, the KeyStation 2 themes blur the line between presentation and interactivity, so you can build interactive presentations and kiosks with a User-Interface standard your audience will immediately understand and be able to interact with on their own. Every level of the theme is optimized with information design principles in mind - from the standard "Presenter" slides that span the traditional slide types, to the Kiosk-mode slides that bring in interface-oriented elements such as menu screens, directories and galleries - so you can be ready to present an exceedingly clean, information-rich interactive presentation in no time. Thanks to this approach, even traditional presenters can take advantage of the structured, document-like design and repurpose the dedicated logo/navigation bar to a running logo/title element when navigation options aren't required - even use the 4, 6 and 8-up Menu masters (8-up available in HD versions only) as a quick, structured replacement for complex table layouts with ease.
The KeyStation 2 themes have been expanded in the transition to Keynote 3 - up to 58 master-slides in the Pro/HD versions, including more variations on your favorite layouts from the original, and a range of new layout options designed to make the theme even more flexible. Color has been retouched throughout, with the entire theme moving to a deeper, richer-hued backing blue with softer contrasting chart fills. The edge overlay of the original has been migrated from a stark black to a softer transitional gray, with a crisp edge pushing the entire center panel forward.
KeyStation 2 HD, available exclusively in the KeyStation 2 Pro Edition, expands the style into HD format with aspect-optimized 16:9 and 16:10 versions of the KeyStation 2 design, so you can take advantage of the clean simplicity of the iMac G5, a MacPro-driven 20, 23 or 30" Cinema Display, or a next-generation HD projection system as target presentation platforms without the "dead space" associated with running traditional 4:3 presentations on an HD display. Even run full screen on your new MacBook Pro to take full advantage of every inch of the remarkable display. Your presentation will look like it was custom-tailored for your machine.
KeyStation 2 includes up to 58 Master Slides (Pro Version) - a wide range of text and photo-oriented layouts in both standard and kiosk-oriented designs. Every master includes a running logo/navigation bar, so you've got space to brand your presentation/kiosk and add navigation or a running title without any additional customization required. The Kiosk-oriented slides are provided in a range of Home, Menu and 3rd-tier designs, with an array of options for 2, 3 or 4-up secondary options on the Home layouts and matching Menu/Directory level layouts that all fit neatly over/beside the 3rd-tier, "Product Level" masters. And thanks to the Platform-style approach, you can take the raw KeyStation 2 framework and make it entirely your own with only minor modifications - enabling you to create a fully-customized interactive presentation with little more than a background change.

We've included a Supplemental Presentation with the KeyStation 2 themes - a fully interactive demo file that provides an overview of basic KeyStation 2 interactive/kiosk-mode presentation right out of the gate. The Supplemental Presentation walks you through the basics of the KeyStation 2 palette and a range of interactive extras such as direction/navigation buttons, pre-set tabular and freeform callout-design objects, as well as tips and guidance for using an "invisible button" approach for touch-screen enabled kiosks and additional tips for getting the most from Keynote's interactivity features. And since the entire Supplemental file is a kiosk-mode presentation, you can quickly disassemble the Supplemental Presentation itself for a quick tutorial on structure and practice.
Only Keynote gives you the power to create stunning, highly-designed interactive presentations and kiosks with such ease and flexibility. Thanks to the interactivity features made possible with Keynote 3, creating a web-inspired interactive presentation is as easy as dropping a photo behind a cut-out or highlighting text and linking it to another slide - Keynote will even maintain your links for you as you add content or re-arrange your presentation, so you can set up the basics and get right into production in no time, knowing that your transitions will still grab attention, no matter if the next slide is just the next literal slide away or at the other end of your presentation. Use the WebView feature to connect to local web services to display snapshot-based web information directly in your presentation. Or take the entire concept to extremes using the HD themes in KeyStation 2 Pro with your massive Mac Pro powered 23 or 30" Cinema Display and even use full-motion audio/video elements as running accents - a kiosk come to life with the power of Quicktime + HD. It's easy every step of the way, and wrapped in a professional look that'll get you noticed the first time you take the floor - or the moment your potential client walks through the door.
KeyStation 2 Standard and Pro editions require Keynote 3.0 or higher, and the Helvetica Neue font face.
