Tokyo Triad, Redux. Like its Keynote counterpart, the Tokyo RPG for Pages templates comprise three complete eye-catching palettes - Tokyo R, Tokyo P and Tokyo G respectively - in a crisp, minimalist style that balances classic type and layout with modern, modular design.

The Tokyo RPG templates for Pages, like their Keynote counterparts, are a balance of the modern and the traditional. We've juxtaposed a shifting, modular framework against classical, grid-based layouts and type to create a highly stylized, structured framework that's well suited for a wide variety of high-tech, corporate & finance or general-purpose topics.

Tokyo RPG for Pages includes three complete template sets - Tokyo R, Tokyo P and Tokyo G respectively, giving you stylistic flexibility from your first page forward. Each set includes 7 complete templates, from the basics of Letterhead, Memo and Envelope templates to the massive 16 master-page Brochure template - giving you a wide range of document types and layout options to choose from whether you're preparing a cover letter or the Fall Catalog. The included layouts - a full range of text-oriented pages and mixed text + photo feature pages - feature clean, easy-to-read type and bullets on panels that impose a subtle, gridded order on the layout areas. The accompanying chart palettes are accenting tonal blends, customized to each of the three colors, that are both understated and eye-catching. And thanks to the flexibility of the Tokyo RPG for Pages framework, you can extend the basic templates to include your own palette or even create your own layouts with absolute ease.

The Templates

Tokyo RPG for Pages includes 7 complete templates, each available in the 3 signature Tokyo RPG colors, in both US(Traditional) and ISO(Metric) formatted template bundles. The templates share a few common characteristics, such as consistent character/paragraph styles, bullets and chart palettes - then expand to include template-specific Page Masters that are built according to the character of the document. From the basics of Letterhead and Memo templates that expand on the basics of the iWork-installed templates to include both Cover + Text page styles, to the Tokyo Brochure template that includes a full 16 layouts - you've got your basic document/collateral types covered, along with a range of in-template variations so you can pick both the document type and the layout that's right for your specific needs.

The Flavors of Tokyo. Since Tokyo RPG for Pages is built with native shape objects, you can unlock the core portions of the layouts to make your own customizations. Change the accent color blocks to match your own palette - even remove the grey backing panel to create a white-page design with the overriding layout structure fully intact.

Beyond the Basics

Tokyo RPG for Pages is built with extensive flexibility in mind. We revisited the modular framework used to build Tokyo RPG for Keynote with an eye toward portability, evolving to a core design that's more print/paper friendly at its base, and built with native shape objects so you've got the power you need when you want to go beyond the raw templates. Following the instructions included in the Getting Started PDF, you can unlock the color blocks that build the Tokyo RPG layouts and bring in your own color palette, add shadows or resize the layouts - even get rid of the grey backing color so you can make a desktop-printer friendly white-backing layout. Or build your own layout variations with a simple series of Copy + Pastes to carry the Tokyo RPG layout standards over to your own creations - with little more than a few click in the document Inspector.

Only With Pages

Only Pages gives you the power to create such sophisticated brochures, letters and business documents with such absolute ease. And most importantly - only Pages gives you the power to create documents that are every bit as visually compelling as their counterpart Keynote presentations, with the same ease of use and stellar results you've come to expect - and thanks to Tokyo RPG, you can finally put that power to use with absolute consistency from presentations to collateral. iWork makes it easy, and Tokyo RPG makes it look like your designer's working overtime.
