With a pop of contemporary color and assertive, information-driven design, District for Keynote '09 may be one of our brightest themes yet.
Color and Balance.
Eye-catching color and implied geometric projections seem to propel content beyond the screen within a neutral, print-insprired framework. The District 1.1 Update includes the all-new District 2 themes, adopting a crisp blue palette that provides a more restrained feel without compromising on style.
District is an intriguing, geometric-driven design unlike anything we've ever produced before. Simple shapes and implied perspective seem to propel content beyond the screen, with balanced angles creating an illusion of raised and recessed geometric projections interacting within a neutral, print-inspired framework. Color and registration marks with integrated slide numbers add polish to the printed foundation, lending a focused, structural order to the energetic lineplay of the implied perspective shifts.
Content-driven slides, well proportioned for uncluttered, information-driven layouts balance eye-catching title and media slides offered in both color-driven and subdued neutral variations, giving you the freedom to mix the right balance of color throughout your entire presentation. Photo-layout masters feature the signature integrated style, along with a mix of single and multi-image split-layout styles that push the style back out its "page" level framework, giving you a wide range of options for media placement that can blend with - or stand apart from - the surrounding content. And the accompanying charts echoes the signature District style in a step-duotone palette that complements content without drawing undue focus.
The resulting presentations are assertive and balanced, especially well-suited for architecture, fashion or high-impact corporate themes. Integrated footer space on every slide makes it easy to add running information - like a presentation name, company name or logo - to every slide without encroaching on your content. And since District is built with native Keynote shapes, it's well-suited for the stunning object-based transitions introduced with iWork '09 including Magic Move, Object Zoom or Perspective transitions.
Work All the Angles.
Flexible photo-driven layouts feature both color and neutral-accent integrated styles, along with a mix of single and multi-image split-layout styles that push the District style back out its "page" level framework.
The District theme includes 29 master slides - a mix of content and image-driven layouts in the signature District style. The core layouts encompass a full range of general-purpose styles, each striking a careful balance between color-contrast titles and content-driven layouts. Along with the basic text and photo layouts present in any Keynote theme, District includes an expanded selection of content-oriented masters, including Compare & Contrast, Citation and multi-column slides. Photo placements are available in both color and neutral-accent integrated styles and a mix of single and multi-image split-layout styles, providing a range of fit and color balance options for media placement.
The Big Picture: District HD.
District HD, available exclusively in the District Pro Edition, expands the style into HD format with aspect-optimized 16:9 and 16:10 versions of the District design, so you can take advantage of the clean simplicity of a an iMac, a Mac-driven Cinema Display or HD Monitor, or a next-generation HD projection system as target presentation platforms without the "dead space" associated with running traditional 4:3 presentations on an HD display. Whether attached to an HD display or projecting to an HD-equipped room, your presentation will take full advantage of every inch, custom-tailored to intelligently adapt the District aesthetic to the larger footprint of HD.
The Right Touch.
Can't imagine leaving your favorite portable device out of your work-flow? The District themes are fully compatible with Keynote for iOS(*version 1.7 or higher required), so you can transfer your presentation using the District theme to your iPad for playback or editing with no updates or special workarounds required.
